ABOUT HEARTH & HONEY

I’m so glad you’re here.

Hearth & Honey is my little corner of the world dedicated to making home feel warmer, slower, and a bit more whimsical.

I’ve always loved the small things that make ordinary days feel special: bread rising on the counter, yarn tucked into a basket, a garden beginning to bloom, a stack of books waiting to be read, or a quiet afternoon spent making something with my hands.

This space grew from that love.

A Little About Me

A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Charlize.

I’m a wife, a mother, a maker, a baker, and the person behind Hearth & Honey. Most days, you can find me somewhere between a loaf of sourdough on the counter, a half-finished project nearby, a book left open somewhere in the house, and little ones underfoot.

I’ve always loved the small things that make everyday life feel more beautiful—handmade projects, cozy spaces, old-fashioned skills, and finding ways to bring a little more intention into ordinary routines. A lot of what I share here comes directly from my own home and the things I’m already making, learning, growing, and figuring out as I go.

Motherhood has made me notice those little moments even more: bread shared at the counter, handmade blankets dragged from room to room, afternoons outside, and quiet projects squeezed into the in-between moments. I don’t have a perfectly curated home, and I don’t want to pretend that I do. I just love creating a home that feels warm, lived in, and ours.

Hearth & Honey is where I get to share that process with you, in the hope that something here inspires you to make, learn, try something new, or enjoy the ordinary parts of home a little more.

Why Hearth & Honey?

The hearth has always represented the center of the home: warmth, food, gathering, and the place everyone eventually finds their way back to.

And honey felt like the perfect companion to it—something simple, sweet, handmade by many small efforts over time.

That’s what I hope this place becomes.

A collection of small things that, together, make home a little sweeter.

Make Yourself at Home

There’s plenty to wander through, so stay awhile.

Home is made in the little things.
